The School Day

Drop-off time:

Children in years 1 – 6 should enter by the side gates near the bicycle sheds. Year R children should enter by the gate to the right of the school entrance that opens on to the Reception outdoor area.

Gates will open at 8.35am, all children should go straight in to class. All children should be in school ready to learn by 8.45 am.

Pick-up time:

All children will finish school at 3.15pm.

Total Opening hours per week: 32.5 hrs per week

We are fortunate at Cawston Primary Academy to have the Breakfast Club and Smiles After School Club to provide wrapround care for those families that require it. Our Breakfast Club opens at 7.30am until the school opens and our After School Club runs until 5.30pm. Please visit our Clubs and Activities page for more details.

School Closures and Severe Weather Conditions

In the event of severe weather parents are asked to listen to the local radio station which, from 7am onwards, will regularly broadcast schools that have closed. In addition, we will send a message via the MyEd app or text service – please notify us if your mobile number changes so that you can receive important messages.
